My passion for travel took me to Mexico,

where I have lived and done business since 2010.

Our design boutique there, mr.blackbird Tulum,

represents my philosophy and deep admiration for

the craftsmanship, history and traditions of Mexico.

Living in Mexico also led me to the phenomenon

of mezcal where I fell in love with its cultural heritage

so much, that I began studying at CEMMEZ Oaxaca

(Centro de Estudios sobre el Maguey y Mezcal AC.).

After successfully completing my studies,

I became a certified mezcal ambassador

and the first Czech to receive this diploma.

After my studies, I travelled extensively throughout Mexico to personally meet the maestros mezcaleros

and experience their family traditions.

Through this experience I was introduced to the humble and long history of handmade mezcal. I learned

about their practices and regional differences.

I became not only their business partner, but also a respected member of the community of producers

and connoisseurs of this traditional drink.

 

Currently, I am introducing collections of artisanal

mezcals on the Czech market, produced with specific technologies and reflecting individual stories

and manuscripts of each mezcal maestro.
